Mustang Cat is a privately-held Caterpillar dealership in Houston, Texas. Since its founding in 1952, they have supported numerous projects that have shaped the footprint of Houston. Their equipment has played a vital role in building landmarks such as the Houston Astrodome, Beltway 8, and the downtown skyline.

Mustang Cat approached the new business team at Impact Networking to assess their marketing and propose a solution that will result in a long-term marketing partnership.

Overview

Mustang Cat invested heavily and focused their marketing efforts on all fronts. They were supported by a consulting agency that provided them with research & audience insights. Overall, the client was very happy with their current marketing direction but were looking for out-of-the-box creative thinking to target their business goals.

PROPOSAL #1 - PRESTIGE OPERATORS

Turning activity in habit.

Gamification strategies are great for customer loyalty and retention. To drive business to the service and rental offerings, Mustang Cat needs to create a cyclical environment of engagement. Caterpillar machines are integrated with technology to measure different diagnostics. This is a great opportunity to assign rankings on both an individual and company basis that can only be tracked with Mustang Cat machines. Rankings can be determined on different metrics measured by the implemented technology.

Encouraging people to rank up by offering benefit, discounts, and other incentives will keep individuals and contractors within in the Mustang Cat ecosystem. Ranks can also grow to be industry measurements of performance and capabilities, like getting a Google certification, operators can leverage their rank to find better jobs or better salaries that will improve their quality of life for them and their families.

Helping them navigate the intricacies of starting a construction business or a mulching business and empowering them will form a connection with the community that goes deeper than business.

Mustang Cat's footprint is undeniable. If you are builder, a parent, or a city representative, you will see this footprint visually on your commute to work or taking your child to school. Saturating the city with these tags will make Mustang Cat synonymous with Houston, it's infrastructure, it's history, and more importantly, its commitment to building communities.
